I use the self adhesive Drift mount directly under the headlight, it works for me and virtually vibration free.  I also have a mount on the side of my helmet.  The Drift cameras are low profile when compared to a GoPro. Search for sofnolime on YouTube to see some of the results......

yes that xr is a great bike and I may have gone for it over the duke but I just love the twin, and the fill termi exhaust helps!
I think bmw have recalled the xr's to sort out the vibe issue?
