Re: Good place to mount video cam?
I use the self adhesive Drift mount directly under the headlight, it works for me and virtually vibration free. I also have a mount on the side of my helmet. The Drift cameras are low profile when compared to a GoPro. Search for sofnolime on YouTube to see some of the results......

Re: Good place to mount video cam?
I use the same mount as Benchmark (see picture) with a sony AZ1VR Action Cam Mini. Advantage of the sony: you can attach the remote controle to the handlebar. That way you can start/stop recording without dismounting the bike. I've been looking at this and it looks like a good option especially wit...

Re: Good place to mount video cam?
Highly recommended for a great value cam that can also use genuine go-pro and ram mounts. I have been using mine for 18 months now with no issues and use the footage as feedback when I'm teaching/testing other riders. They come in at around £50 with all the accessories.just make sure you get a genu...

would love to, although my hefty valuation of 2.5 mill based on lunacy and absolutely no promise, no sales, no brains etc, wouldn't sit well with Peter Jones!RTman10 wrote: That's for the Dragons Den for sure. Ask for a million quid for a 2% share.

Re: New bike, new to boxer - vibes through handlebars
You've done it now. This is going to be the latest add on as screens have been done to death. I have a brown pair, not sure they will go with grey. don't worry, I've got an app for that! they dangle from your top box with a bit of string, so they just hover over the exhaust. You...

Would be interested to know the before and after figures on bhp and torque as supplied by Hilltop here you go - see attached (the black boxes are where I've redacted my Reg) bhp before 93.23 @8129rpm, after 113 @ 7658 torque before 70 @ 4281, after 87 @ 6259 measurements at the rear wheel not crank...

Re: Key fob marking headstock...
has anyone thought of the idea of seperating out the key from the fob and just keeping the fob in a pocket?

yes I thought they would offer some extra extra comfort over and above the grip puppies although i realise they might look a bit strange to the uninitiated. It's a new business idea of mine, integrating your clothing directly with your bike. You can change into different bike, liesure, or work gear,...

Re: I am detecting a 'flat-spot' when my 2014 RT is under accelleration.
Hi Guys I am a 'Newbie' having picked up my 2014 RT1200RT 2 weeks ago. I have noticed that the bike sometimes feels as though it is hitting some kind of 'flat-spot' whilst under acceleration, especially when moving on from around 3-4000revs and especially with the resumption of twisting the throttl...

sounds like some hush puppies are the way to go, or just stripping down the old tennis racket! Nice......I like that idea of using some padded grip tape

Re: New bike, new to boxer - vibes through handlebars
yes that xr is a great bike and I may have gone for it over the duke but I just love the twin, and the fill termi exhaust helps!
I think bmw have recalled the xr's to sort out the vibe issue?

Re: New bike, new to boxer - vibes through handlebars
oh yeh baby, it sure is a sweet bike. As I have a Duke, the Mrs has named my RT the 'Duchess' - seems to fit, and makes singing songs to her a bit easier! A boxer twin can't compete with its in-line 'brothers' from a smoothness perspective. Mind you, try the S1000XR and that'll m...
