Still no sign of my bits, but the Comfort screen has arrived (ordered direct from BMW), contrary to the bumph on the description is isn't taller than the standard screen so we'll have to see how it works!

Can I infer from the PDF file that these parts are available for bikes up to 2013? Ahh now I get you, the only note I have in my MOT manual is "[size=small]The vehicle presenter must be advised[/size][size=small]of any defects found on an ABS system."[/size]

Aye, seems strange that it can pass an MOT, but still be classed as a defect. A bit like tinted windows.

For everyday riding circumstances.......From the DVSA Catogorisation of defects book, Defect - Any component forming part of an antilock braking system missing/damaged/disconnected, Severity - Such that the ABS system is rendered inoperative or spurious signals are given Action - delayed prohibition...

Thanks for that, at 6'6" tall I need quite a bit more at the top of the screen to eliminate the wind noise! :-)
