Re: Weather protection
No extras on the work RT with no similar issues. Do the Boxes save the crap or is it the design of the body panels & rear foot peg brackets. Don't know to be fair. There's obviously some vortex/swirl effect from the rear wheel but as yet I've not had chance to run with my panniers on (shed door...

Re: Weather protection
View of my left leg after this morning's commute (without panniers), not happy! Do you have the same problem with your Job Bike. http://www.1200rt.com/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=1186.0;attach=1162;image Looks like it hasn't got any infill panels fitted. http://cdn.1200rt.com/gallery/2423-04011...

Re: taller wind screen for rt?
Don't think BMW do a taller screen for a 2011 RT. Have tried a couple of CEE Baileys screens on both my 2007 & 2010 RT's. Yes, they will help to reduce buffeting & wind noise etc., however, the increased surface area & therefore force on the screen can potentially cause problems with the...

Re: Newbie
Hi Chris, welcome to the RT World. Not had Sports Bikes myself, but did go from a Honda VFR (Sports Tourer) to my first RT in 2007, with no regrets. IMO, an RT ridden well is a good match to most other Bikes out there. Interesting that you are impressed with the bike your Lad rides for the White Kni...

Re: Discounted Travel Arrangements
Having just provisionally booked a ferry from Hull to Rotterdam & return, there are currently what I think are some good deals out there. P&O are offering all their cabins at the same price (except Club), until 6th February 2015, therefore upgrade for free. I'm going to book with Railsavers,...

Re: Winter riding!
I have said, if it's not "Double Figures" 10degC I'm not going out. Putting heated grips on the XJ650 made the difference between riding in the Winter or not. I have Alpinestars Textiles, BMW Boots & Gloves, I find the Summer Gloves OK with heated grips. The Heated Insoles have made a ...

Re: Winter riding!
Interesting that you should say your tootsies got cold, I run a 2012 RT like your job bike & suffer from cold feet. Do you use any heated clothing for work or pleasure. Have invested in some Kies Heated Insoles, they are great, have got a supply & controller on my XJ650, not yet go...

Re: BULLRACK- Pannier and Top Case Wall Mounts-R1200RT and more
Thanks for confirming that, a brilliant design, well done, hope you sell loads.
Fortunately, I have a pitched roof on my garage with storage space for the top case & side cases.

Re: BULLRACK- Pannier and Top Case Wall Mounts-R1200RT and more
A great idea, it looks like the Pannier bracket replicates the two upper case holders on the side of the bike, below the carrier/grab rail.
When the case handle is pushed down, does it engage the latching mechanism behind the mount on the bracket, (above the Bull's head) for security of fixing.
