Finished making the mount, like the crinkled paint. Will reroute and fit camera to new location today hopefully.

I haven't had any problems with my 2016 RT, but I did with my 2008 GS. If I remember correctly, someone on UKGSer commented that it was the ignition switch itself which was faulty. If you do find it. If there is not a separate lid on the reservoir it may need to be filled inverted and then assembled

On my 2012 Camhead, the starter button failed on a very hot day in Germany. After an overnight stay paid for by BMW, recovery was arranged the next day. Next morning, tried to start the bike before the recovery arrived and it worked. Road the bike to Kassel to have the switch replaced. Coincidence ...

Spray the linkage with GT85(great stuff) then after a couple of days spray with oil and repeat after a week or so. If your still having problems seek professional advice.

I agree but back in the day of gearsticks people sometimes rested their hands on them and inadvertently applied pressure either fore or aft resulting in premature selector fork wear.bandytales wrote:
