While riding home last night I noticed that I’d accidentally come out of a junction in 3rd gear when I thought I had kicked it down into 1st. Thought no more about it until I got to the next junction, by which time I was up in 5th, and tried to change down, only to discover that it wouldn’t go lower...

Re: Exhaust Pipe Flap Valve Thingy

Job was done yesterday. The removed valve was jammed solid and I doubt even a sledgehammer would have freed it!!

So far the bike is running much more smoothly with only a slightly noticeable increase in exhaust noise.

I'm having this issue with mine (2011 LE) at the moment and I'm waiting on the by pass pipe coming to see if that helps.

Re: Bmw warranty

During the 18k service on Thursday the front caliper was found to be seized after they removed it to replace the pads. One overnight stay later and the loan of a brand new RT it was replaced under the warranty. I may have misheard but I'm sure I was told that it would have cost £700. If so then the ...

Re: I'm Thinking of trading in my F800GT for a R1200RT

As far as being a novice rider is concerned, I bought my RT about 9 months after having passed my m/c test and moved to it from a Triumph Tiger Sport. The Tiger was/is a great bike but the RT is a step or two up. I've had no issues with it with my lack of riding experience and if anything I would ar...
