colour codes

Hi all, Does anyone know the paint code or colour of the passenger grab handles on a 2020 Mars red metallic RT. There are some good scratches on mine that I would like to cover. I took a handle to my local Halford's , there were lots of silver paints but none looked suitable. New handles are stupid ...

The only problem was that they had supplied two sets of left hand templates, just turned them upside down 8-)

Re: Pannier Protection

Hi Steve,

Found some instructions on a BMW website, the templates are marked left F and left R, for the left pannier and are place around the hinges of the upside-down pannier and taped in place as a guide for placement of the protectors :)
Thanks for taking the time to reply.

Re: Who locks their bikes up for the winter?

Don't need it for work any more so it goes in a CarCoon bike bubble for the winter. Bought a new ZZR1400 a few years back, a couple of weeks before winter set in, and covered it up in my concrete lock-up. After the winter the chain was red rusty even though it was covered in the thick white grease f...

Re: Cleaning Alloy Wheels

Hi,
AutoGlym alloy wheel cleaner did a good job on my RT when I got it. The wheels had been coated wit ACF 50 which had gone hard and very dark and crusty, a couple of goes with the cleaner and an old tooth brush got them up to scratch.

Re: Pannier Protection

Hi Steve 398,
Thanks for replying. Ordered some from BMW.europe-moto,com for £168 inc. tax and postage. Think I may only fit the bottom ones, if the top ones hit the road I think it will be to late :-D

Pannier Protection

Hi all, Has anyone fitted the BMW pannier protection , that is the two strips that fit top and bottom of each pannier. If so how have you found them ? I have seen a YouTube video, by NothingToProve, who did a drop test with these fitted and they looked to save the pannier from damage. Any info would...

Re: Newcomer from Cheshie

Hi and welcome, Recently joined myself. our stories sound similar, except for the accident. I had over 30 years off due to life. Me and my friend, of well over 40 years, rode down through France and over the Picos, then went to Portugal, through southern Spain up to Andorra then back through France....

Hi from West Yorkshire

Hi new to this forum but not BMW, previous R1200 RS which covered 55,000 miles including a 4025 mile 15 day trip round southern Europe in June 23. Just bought a very nice 2020 R1250 RT which I am enjoying a lot especially the extra comfort. I seem to be getting around 56 mpg which is very similar to...
