Same routine after each ride. I wash and dry the bike, put it in the garage and connect it to one of these until the next ride..

Re: Warranty problems
IRider. For Canbus read Linbus. Supposed to be the next generation of Canbus and was first used on the 1600s. Apparently more reliable and no doubt cheaper to produce. In these austere times Im guessing the cheaper bit was the priority :)) You only have to look at the ...

Re: Riding with luggage & pillion
Come on now Irider, lets keep some decorum and respect. Seriously? If you think that was disrespectful then you probably need to get out more. It was a clean, light hearted comment that I wouldn't mind my wife reading. By all means hit the report button and let the Admins deal with it, if...

Re: Warranty problems
I have added Hyperlites to the rear of my 2015 RT and I went for them because they don't draw anything from the brake light circuit and as such the CanBus doesn't see them. They are powered independently of the brake light circuit are activated by a sensor wire attached with PosiTap connector.

Re: What do you do with the old seat ?
I have to say I was minded to keep the OEM seat for trade in time. Even if the Sargent seat doesn't fit the next generation of RT's by then, it will still have a much better resale value than the OEM seat.

Re: Insurance Quotes
Im with them at the moment, as you say, they tick all the boxes but I guess with any insurance you only know what their like if you have to make a claim. The policy is underwritten by Aviva and came in cheaper than many of the others for exactly the same cover and excess applied. Im not trying to sw...

What do you do with the old seat ?
I couldn't decide if this was a question for the ACCESSORY section or the AFTER MARKET PARTS section so i decided to stick it GENERAL DISCUSSION :-) Ok so today the Sargent Seats with heat arrived for my 2015 R1200RT LE to replace the OEM heaters seats.. I swapped the heat switch and key lock assemb...

Re: Just Bought 2014 RT LE
Everything working ok, just one question, I am finding the gearbox quite clunky, for clunky i mean noisy when changing Is that normal, managed to hit neutral a couple of times when going from 1st, I need to give it more of a push I guess. Just turn the radio up, you won't hear it then ;)

Ditch the weight and carry a credit card instead. Trade the wife in for a more agile model. Job sorted :))

Re: Is this a stupid question?
The only advice I can add is to say don't only focus upon the front. Certainly anything out of whack on the rear for any reason can cause steering issues too.
Good luck resolving it whatever it is.

Re: Think I might have wasted a bunch of money!
Your post is understandable as is your frustration mate. However, to put it in perspective, this is not a widely reported of common fault so it's likely as has been suggested to be an isolated battery or charging circuit fault. BMW don't make the battery's they only fit them and I believe the same i...
