Is the plastic trim around the locking point on the bike firmly in place. This can sometime prevent the pannier locking on to the bike.

How did you get on with fitting.Just tried mine,lines up with the holes OK and bolts up,unfortunately there is no gap on the exhaust side and about an inch on the drive side so it will be all lopsided and rub the tyre.Oh well,worth a try. 4 years to the day and in Austria/germany when the dipped headlight bulb blows again!! This time it only took 5 minutes to change in the 29’c heat thankfully.
