Anyone seen this before? - missing bolt on oil line
I was giving the once over to my 2013 RT today as I am setting out on a long trip next Saturday. I spotted this. It appears that there should be a fastener on what I assume is an oil line from the sump. The hole on the oil line bracket and the frame don't appear to be perfectly a...

Re: MICHELIN Pilot Road 4 GT
I had PR 3s on my R1150. Great tyres in the wet and as an all year rider that's important.
Bridgestones on the 2013 R1200. Decent on the dry but not as good as the PR3s in the wet. I plan to put PR4s on this bike once the others are finished.

Re: BT intercom
How did it go? I have a Nolan n-Com kit and it is great when it works. Had problems with the charging cable connector. Too weak but otherwise it is decent especially if you have a Nolan helmet.

Tank bag choices for 2013 RT
Just sold my 2003 1150RT and bought a 2013 90th anniversary edition. I had a moderate size tank bag (Famsa)with my old RT that was convenient for tolls, etc. Are there any aftermarket bags available that can use the BMW mounting system? I had a look at the stock BMW bag...

Re: Open face helmet ...?
I ride with a Nolan N43 air. It is a modular helmet, likely not as safe as a full helmet but I like it for the increased visibility and it is relatively cool in the summer.

Re: New to me 2014 R1200RT...coming soon to my garage
Ideally, it would be best to have both topcases. I only have the 49 liter one and it is perfect when I have my wife as a pillion but I would prefer the smaller for my usual daily commute. If you do mostly two up, get the big one. It is great to be able to lock away two ...
