Before you buy any helmet, try it on your bike at speed. How else are you going to know if you will be happy with it? Otherwise, helmet buying is a crap shoot. Some shops like Cycle Gear have wind tunnels, which would be a close second.

The procedure for doing the Cam Timing on the 1200 CamHead engine is very similar to what I do frequently on the 1200/1250 WetHead/ShiftHead. At 12.7 volts, your starter should be spinning. There is no real required starting sequence. I trust that you are in neutral? Have you dropped the bike recently? Are your battery terminals fully tight?
