Re: Pannier Lock Won't Open the Lid
Thanks for that info about the Adidas bags, for those interested I looked at the video and found that they are called Adidas Diablo Small Duffel. It seems like they may be discontinued (at least here in Australia), but they can be had online. Great help with the model type thank you too!! Sent from...

Re: Michelin Road 5 Compatibility
As above, the Road 5 GT is not yet available, looking back at this thread, https://1200rt.com/viewtopic.php?t=0, it suggests that it won't appear this year (2018). "The Pilot Road 4 GT remains our recommended fitment for your bike, and the standard Road 5 tyres are not recommended. We are deve...

Michelin Road 5 Compatibility
Hi Does anyone know if the Road Pilot 4 tires are compatible with the new Road 5 ? After 18,000 kms on the rear Pilot 4 it's time to replace it. I already have a new one on the front from last season. But I would like to try the Road 5. Can they work together or should I wait... Sent from my iPhone ...

Re: Pannier Lock Won't Open the Lid
This past weekend I took a great 450-mile+/- ride through the southern tip of the Blue Ridge Mountains in north Georgia/U.S.A. Packed my rain gear, tire kit, etc. in my top case, loaded my right pannier with cloths and loaded my left pannier with bike gear, bike registration, insurance card, bike m...

Re: Headlight Protectors
Protector arrived today. Made by R&G. Comes with tiny 3M clear lock fixings. No instructions. Decided the easiest way to fit would be to push the lock fixings together and then stick onto protector first. Offer up to headlight and check that all the fixings are in a good place. I then removed t...

Re: Portable gel seat pad
My wife uses an Air Hawk on the pillion all the time. I take it with me on long solo trips, but have never yet used it, I seem to be able to ride all day with the standard seat, with normal breaks every 1.5 hours. Its like all things, some love Air Hawks some hate them. The key seems to be, not to ...

Usually they come around with a pickup and 3 or 4 guys throw it in the back and takeoff.

Re: New bike maintenance
If you live in the USA you are lucky. Here in the UK its not so straight forward. When I bought my 2014 bike I did all my own servicing. My mates thought I was mad. I documented everything keeping all receipts and taking a lot of photos. I used BMW approved parts. I was ready to do battle. However ...

Re: New bike maintenance
Thanks for your input ! I'm looking forward to doing my own maintenance, it looks like the laws apply in Canada as well as the U.S.
I found this http://driving.ca/auto-news/news/how-to ... rself it applies to motorcycles as well.
