Question on the orientation of the pressure seal in a rear brake caliper. When replacing the pressure seal is it possible to insert them upside down?. There are no warning lamps illuminated and no unusual noises apart from running lumpy!

Loss of power and running poor

Just had my 2012 R1200RT out for a blast and had to limp home on reduced power.


The symptoms are loss of power, engine lumpy, engine stalls at decreased revs, engine occasionally backfires.


Does anybody with a greater mechanical knowledge than me have some advice?

Thanks very much for the helpful reply, I was going to purchase a Sealey bearing puller set costing £55 as I couldnt find anywhere that sold single collets. I can now purchase just the 25mm one from the link you provided  ;D ......

Hello Guys, I am going to get the wheels on my 2012 R1200RT powder coated, and for this reason I need to remove the front wheel bearings. trim piece

2012 R1200RT


The small painted trim section that sits between the windshield and indicator......how do you remove this, is it just held in with clips, and if so where would I start prising it off from?
any help greatly appreciated

I am going to get the right hand fairing panel resprayed, and will need a new R1200RT sticker for a 2012 model, preferably original equipment.

Yes, I fitted the new ABS sensor this morning, by removing the storage compartment I got access to the plug... ^-^
