Re: Last weeks trip to the Pyrenees
Hi, some trip! Where and at what altitude was the 'snow' photo taken? I'll be crossing the Pyrenees between 06/09 June from Perpignan - Andorra - following the N260 and N240 to get the ferry at Santander and I'm wondering what to expect. Regards.

Re: 2009 R1200RT - fitting Sat-Nav using the existing connector in the front harness
Of course I should have added that every time I park the bike (even for coffee) the GPS is taken off the mount, switched off and goes into my pocket. When I put it back on the mount the GPS switches back on automatically and the route is still active.

Re: 2009 R1200RT - fitting Sat-Nav using the existing connector in the front harness
Hi I asked my BMW dealer to rig up my Zumo 395 GPS to the canbus system when it was in for a service. The mechanic said that every time they tried to start up the bike with the Zumo connected the system failed. The solution is a direct wiring to the batter. Works fine!

Re: Bluetooth Headset
Interphone Tour for £150 with 20 hrs of battery life. To solve the issue of wind noise interference above 80 kph in the BMW System 6 helmet I have invested in a set of ear bud speakers from Mercury another £150. All intercom units purchased at the Bike Show.

Re: Is 95k too many
My bike is at 103,000 Km. Got it 2.5 years ago at 87,000 Km. Just put tyres and services on it since then. OK so the service costs probably increase as the bike ages but hey much cheaper than buying a new bike.

Looks like a good deal, I paid €29 from Nippy Norman for same item in 2017.

Have you looked at autotrader.co.uk there seems to be some good 2009 RTs around the £4500 to £5000 mark. Best of luck.
