What engine mode are you in?
As RTman says the asc will cut in a lot earlier if you are in rain or road, less so in dynamic.

Re: Still no locking system or gadget???

Octatonic, sorry to hear about your mother, we went through something similar with father in law several years ago so I can understand where your coming from and I hope things improve for your family. What I would like to say to you is this, up until now the non locking nav has never really bothered...

Re: Still no locking system or gadget???

I've re read this several times including the original inclusion from Octatonic. Fwiw I thought the idea was rather clever, simple cheap and effective ,given its intent. Casbar wasn't entirely convinced but I can't see anything that warrants an apology to Octatonic, he was merely expressing an opini...

Re: Bike show NEC

Went yesterday, it was ok, pretty busy tho . Haven`t been for 3 years and won`t be going again for some time. It doesn`t change much and quite frankly its a bit on the small side. Managed to pick up a new SW Motech tankbag for a good price tho  :) . Did notice there weren`t many people abou...

The salesman just said they're had been some changes, but he didn't know what or when. Does anyone have any idea at what modelle year the RT got heavier and perhaps wider? Re: Back to an RT

Well let's see it's 40lbs heavier than RT and 86lbs lighter than K1600GT, gets real world mpg of around 44, has excellent side cases that you can actually use the full storage capacity and yes it's about $5K 'cheaper' than GT.  Ultra reliable, serious P:W, ultra smooth, handles like a drea...

Re: Top box

Rip off price.  Did you ask them what the box cost out of the box.  Seems they have added about £3 to £400 to paint the lid.  As has been pointed out you are not buying for another 8 months. Dealer might come to his senses by then. I was qouted £150 to have topbox painted...

Re: Back to an RT

Tony Do you mind me asking what you paid for new RT ? Do they differ from dealership or will they haggle ? Not a lot of haggling available on the new bike, had more luck with the trade in value. I think a lot depends on their sales figures and also time of year can make a difference in my experienc...
