Re: MU vs SE
Hi Chris, the sales invoice for my 2012 Camhead says it is an R 1200 RT SE. The only reference to MU (Model Update) is on the V5C registration certificate. I don't think that the latter has anything to do with the specification of the bike. My 2010 Camhead was the same specification. Hope this helps...

Re: First Short Ride
First time out this year on my RT today, did 170 miles. The bike was treated with an application ACF-50 by hand with a cloth. In places, the roads were very dirty. Will see how the Autoglym snow foam performs when I wash it.

Re: Battery Life
The Exide battery on my 2012 Camhead is 5 years old. The bike has been stood for over 3 months. When the battery is put on charge, it always goes straight to maintain voltage. GEL batteries seem to be the best for holding their charge when not in use. Fired up the bike today, it started at the first...

Re: Dunlop RoadSmart 2
Did 5,000 miles on the RS2's last year. Just checked the remaining serviceable tread depth to the TWI's in the centre of each tyre. Front = 1.5mm, Rear = 3.0mm. Quiet impressed with the tyre wear, I normally change the tyres once per year at this kind of mileage.

Re: 2024 Annual (UK) RT Meet
If anyone is willing to offer a local to them day ride out, then others could meet up on the day or if further away, stop overnight as necessary.
Just pick a start point, time & date, it's as simple as that. Accomodation to be arranged by others themselves, not the day ride leader.

Re: 2024 Annual (UK) RT Meet
Hopefully, there will be a UK event in 2024. Should this happen, then 2025 will be the 10th Annual meet since they started in 2016.
Perhaps something could be made of the meeting EasyRider has suggested for Wales, viewtopic.php?t=7878

Re: South West & South Wales Area
Abervagenny is 250 miles away from home, would need two nights stay somewhere to make a day ride out.
Or, how about meeting up halfway somewhere. Morrisons at Ilkeston would work, then have a circular ride out.

2024 Annual (UK) RT Meet
Would anyone like to organise the 2024 Annual (UK) RT Meet.
(I've spoken to Michael and this is not intended to conflict with the Euro trip he has already arranged for July.)

Re: Service light
The minimum service a BMW dealer will do is an oil & filter change which should include a service light reset. The WorkShop at York will do it for £35 + VAT https://www.theworkshopyork.com/our-services but you'll have to be quick, they are closing on 1st April 2024, https://www.theworkshopyork.c...
