Re: What did you do today?
I found a bike very close to mine with the same spec + radio & DLR lights. It's build date is 3 weeks earlier and has done 1100 miles more, I don't think I'll find a closer bike if mine is written off. https://approvedused.bmw-motorrad.co.uk/UK/detail.cshtml?on=525229 I would take some screensh...

Then they say "I was just trying to help"
If my wife asks if I want help I say yes! Keep out the way
She knows to leave me to it unless I ask

I have been looking at new seats for mine as just recently I have been getting a pain in the arse! or so the wife says  Normally I can go a good 10 - 12 hours and 300+ miles before any issues but the other day 120 miles and a few hours and I was in pain! Ah you're talking about a mount
I am talking about an adaptor that allows you to mount most sat navs to the nav prep and take its power from there

You can get various brackets for different devices to fit whatever you like.I'm buggered if I can remember the name of the set up but I'm convinced it's German.

Re: Can I use this gps mount?
Personally if it was me I would buy a standalone sat nav like the Garmin or TomTom
There will be plenty of people along soon enough to tell you of the issues of the expensive BMW Nav range and why to avoid it
You should be able to remove the mount and fit a different sat nav there
