Which country website are you referring to that allows ordering of the previous model year?
If you can find a dealer that can actually order a 2020 model at hte current time, please let me know as I would be very interested.

Re: Denali Soundbomb problem
I have a Denali SoundBomb Mini on my other bike and a BMW low-tone car horn on my 1250RT. Both useful improvements.
Now that I have the auxiliary lights on the RT (and the other one) - as well as wearing bright clothing - I find that I have to cover the horn button far less frequently.

Re: Garmin Zumo problem
Garmin no longer fully support the Zumo 660. Until now, I've had full European maps stored on an SD card within the device. For the first time ever, with the most recent map update, I had to select a region, e.g. UK & Ireland to be loaded to the device internal memory. Additional maps had to be...

Re: Garmin Zumo problem
Garmin support told me I'd lost the map function because the device couldn't store the existing map. They suggested I download a smaller map, so I chose only the western North America one, and it worked. So that's the fix if anybody has a similar problem. I still don't...

Re: Garmin “Lifetime Warranty”
Sounds like a scam. As mentioned try to download Express from the official Garmin website. You could also uninstall and reinstall Express. Normally Express will tell you that it needs updating - you don't need to search for updates. Likewise for the City Navigator maps. Hope this helps.......

Re: Options for radio and/or mp3 player on A Prep Bike
I have had radios on all my RT and have the following advice for you. The speakers become very unclear at speeds above, say, 60-70 kph. Nor will you hear them in noisy traffic. The modern solution is to buy a bluetooth headset for your helmet and to link this to a smartphone. Some folk als...

Re: FJR1300 V's R1200RT
I think, Stu, that you have answered your own question. That is to say that there are numerous aftermarket screens for the R1200RT (LC) - not least the Werks "Quiet Ride" from across the pond. The drumming will depend on the rider torso height and the angle of the windscreen. I can only ho...

Re: Phone Mounting - Power Options
Hey mate, did you need to remove the faring panels and/or pocket in order to drill into it? Remove right hand fairing panel (which is how I know just well-hidden the hole is). One drills into the pocket right next to the central locking mechanism for the flip-up cover. If you drill a slightly large...

Re: Phone Mounting - Power Options
That's a good idea David...thanks! Anyone know if there's a way to run a cable out of that little pocket without drilling a hole or affecting the waterproof nature of it? Cheers, Rick I have a USB powered DAB radio on my bike on my 2019 1250RT. I drilled a 16mm hole through the side of th...

Thanks David. I am hoping for someone around the London area. If nothing materialises I will speak to Sam. If you can get hold of Sam, then fine. Tom, his son is now running Chainspeed, and they are no longer installing. Autocom have a very helpful chap on the support desk called Ryan. I would sugg...

Re: LED bulb life
In Europe motorcycle lights are basically the same as cars BUT the low beam is always illuminated. High beams are switched. I live on the edge of London and organize my life so as not to have to ride in the dark if at all possible. My last 4-hour ride in darkness was a nightmare because the freeway ...

Re: Diagnostic program to download
Hi, Does anyone know if there is anything I can download onto my laptop to run a diagnostic check on my 1200rt 2005 model. I know most would say to buy a dedicated diagnostic machine/computer but I've managed to download something in the past for my Triumph. Thanks If it is anyt...
