Re: Travel insurance

Just tried a quote with Navigator for a week in September to France. Very reasonable, and strangely no questions about any existing health conditions.

Re: Maxxis Tyres

Sorry for the " First Ride" report delay. Taxing the bike for an April 1st ride was delayed due to an unexpected surgical procedure but as I'm now on the mend the RT was duly Taxed this morning and a hundred miles achieved in Dry but rather Cold weather. First impression, "Excellent&q...

Re: “Is it me”

Just do not rush into it. The right one will turn up. Well said, when looking for my present Twin Cam I travelled to view four Bikes all across the North of England. If you know your RT's I would say buy on "Condition" rather then a Service History which can be false. I viewed One bike at...

Re: Tires

Tyre costs and fitting charges will vary from area to area and even country to country. Here in the UK we have generally three options with vastly varying costs. 1. Purchase tyres from an On Line supplier then either fit them your self (Cheapest Option) or 2. Take your Wheels and your new Tyres to a...

https://i.ibb.co/hLwDnTT/RT-Michael.jpg (Not my bike, posted for a.n.other). Thanks to David for posting the Pic of my old 2008 Hexhead pictured at our favourite "Bolthole" La Traversiere, Chambre D'hote in the Drome area of Northern Provence. We stayed there over 30 times in a 15 year pe...

Re: Switchgear and buttons lube ?

I use the WD40 specialist range contact cleaner, I had an issue with the cruise control switch not working. Used the contact cleaner and its been fine ever since for the last five years or so. so gets my vote. That's interesting, as the "Slide Across" cruise switch on my own 2011 Tw...

Re: 21MM offset spanner for ball joint nut???

No need to worry about Timing Marks. All the Belt does is drive the Alternator. One thing I would query is the Replacement Belt part number. I recently replaced my own Belt (2011 Twincam RT) and after lots of research came to the conclusion that the correct Belt is the 4 PK 592 ELAST. I think there ...

Re: Brake Fluid Change 2011 Twin Cam RT

Thanks for that sakm. Interesting as I do recall that when I had the Fluid changed on my 2008 Hexhead two different workshops (one main dealer and one independent) both said that the ABS Pump is "Cycled" as part of the procedure. Just wondering what is different between the Hexhead and Twi...

Brake Fluid Change 2011 Twin Cam RT

Question.
Does a Brake Fluid change (a two yearly service requirement) require "Cycling" of the ABS Pump.
Thanks.
