Re: MOT time

How many miles have you ridden in a year? I should really take the fifth on that one to avoid embarrassing myself  Over the past few years it's typically been around 2500/3000 in the UK, and then the same again on tours in the EU and America  I'm hopefully moving to Scotland next year...

Re: Looking to buy an RT

I will have to disagree with your first comment. Ive owned a lot of older bikes. If they have been looked after before there is ususally not more that basic maintainance needed. My 07 had full BMW service before i purchaced it and all ive needed to do is a yearly service. Everyone has an opinion - ...

Re: Looking to buy an RT

The older the bike the more work will be needed with maintenance etc, but as these are used by the majority of the police/ambulance services across Europe, you know they are a decent bet :P

Re: Compatible phone for the RT1250

You lot are so modern. Upto 5 years ago i was still using a Nokia 3310. Great phone, lasted ages from a charge. Still on the orginal battery for 10 years. These modern smart phones just dont last long and if you drop it the screen cracks. I only changed to a new phone as i wanted bluetooth. That wa...

Re: Compatible phone for the RT1250

Ok, they are not cheap, but they are what I know about, so any of the iPhones after and including the XR with wireless charging will fit and charge without a case in the space provided. I currently have the 14 pro max, and even it fits when you put it with the camera at the top and the screen face u...

Re: Quick Wales trip

Yep, a compressor and a repair kit are key components, even if they can just get you to a location you can wait more comfortable in 8-)

Quick Wales trip

Just had a quick trip round Wales last week due to it being great weather, 26/30 degrees all week, too hot in actual fact, but can't really knock it for September, it was warmer than the trip I done to southern Spain last year at the same time of year  6 Days from Wigan where I live: Day 1 - He...

Yep, I found a Wunderlich rides seat, but it's trial and error and it's still not the right one for me, although it may just be I have a fat ass

Still looking for one if anyone has decided to let one go - it would need to be a standard or high height - a low is no good.

Thanks

Re: Heated Seat

Only way to really check if it's working is pop a thermometer on it and see if its' actually heating up, but it does make sense what they say, although you would expect better from BMW
