Re: Ceramic coated header pipes
I ceramic coated mine black. They turn to be rather grey, but is a consistent color. For what i was told, black is more heat resistant than silver. In my view, no mater the color you chose is better than the burned blue the factory headers turn to be. Since at it, and the can was showing signs of ru...

Re: Fitting a Rowe PDM60??
You are not going wrong with PDM60, as long as the price suits you! It is a very well built module, water proof and solid. Have the rear lights connected to it, and by timer, they come on after bike is started. I had a small problem with mine, as I didn't know that when programing for a new device, ...

Re: Suspension upgrade
Mine is a 2008 so there was a big difference, since I changed both, front and back. I went for Tractive, so I can keep the ESA functioning. I don't know about newer models, but for mine had to send in the rear shock's motor. Shipping from Canada is not cheap, so I bought a used shock on eBay and shi...

Would like to see some pics, if you can load them up.JDub wrote: I've just installed one on my 2008, I'm out tomorrow but will upload some pics as soon as I can. It's attached to the old horn bracket and sits nicely between the forks. it was a bit of faff to get it up there but it's out of the way.

Re: Grips that you would suggest
I would suggest tennis racquet grip tape. Cheap, can ride without gloves, absorb sweat, and yes,
can get any color you want, eventually to match your bike :pee:

Just a suggestion:

like any after market, they are pricey, but are well machined, and look good!

Re: Wunderlich front grill
Have to agree with any alternative, since all works just as well. Just like any Wunderlich, the grill protector is way over priced! But...decided to get one. Works well, fits like the right size glove! And looks good also, almost like it is factory installed. Would like to mention that BMW will void...

Re: New member
Since being new, is just polite to mention where you are from,
and what is your new scoot! A picture does a thousand words.
If done so, you may make instant friends from near by, as well
as greetings from the forum members.

Re: 2005 R1200RT mirrors pop off - any way to anchor them?
Just as a suggestion: Your 2005 has the holes to install a pair of aftermarket mirrors.
I find the oem mirrors inconveniently placed, and the new mirrors offer a much better
view of what you have behind.

Re: Rotating brake lever attachment on handlebar 2005 R1200RT
Those inside clamps not only allow to turn the lever assembly on the bar, they also determine the position in or out! I remember was out slightly and the throttle would not turn because of it. Make sure you just rotate, and keep the location from the end of the bar same. And it may not be easy to fi...

Re: Rotating brake lever attachment on handlebar 2005 R1200RT
Thought i replied to this thread, may be on another forum. Your bike is a newer model, but i don't see why would be much different. You can turn both assemblies by opening them, and will find a clamp like that you can loosen up and turn to the desired position. See attach. As far as turning the bar ...
