Bonding with the new toy

Been using the K1 quite a bit recently …. and I love it. Despite its 30 years of age I find it surprisingly modern riding, comfy, good brakes, good handling with a surprising turn of speed. I find the 16 v engine needs more revs than the old 8 valve motor to get it in the flow but once she does it's...

Re: 2019 Highlands Tour

Glad it went well and the weather was kind to you. We tried to do a similar trip last year and were hit with horrendous weather that caused us to abandon the trip, plus the midges meant we couldn’t stop without clouds of them descending on us and driving us mad. Obviously we were unlucky but it was...

2019 Highlands Tour

Well … trip done, just shy of 1500 miles and everyone, except for the motorway slogs, a joy. The weather Gods were mostly kind :) Paul Davies and I stopped for coffee at Charnock Richard before making our way to the Kirkstone Pass Inn in the Lakes for lunch for a spot of soup :D http://www.boxertrix...

Gathered all the components to convert my R80RS to twin disc. Looks much better I think, and brakes are sweeter :D

Another busy day :D

Well another busy but constructive Monday, with the help of my mate Paul Davies again. This weeks jobs were to fit the stainless collector box to the R80RS as the original was rotten. Thankfully it wasn't the "mare" of a job I'd feared! The R80RS now burbles away like a good 'un. She is no...

addition to the garage ...

Another bike to join the RT, been out in north Wales bonding with it. Given it's 30 years old it's quick, handles well and has awesome brakes!

Re: Garmin Nav 6 'My Motorcycle' App

So here is the definitive answer from BMW: The 'My Motorcycle' application is only made available on bikes with the factory audio/radio option. It's only a software issue and they are working on an update patch for all compatible RTs and could be available mid 2018. I would suggest to anyone intere...

My latest RT

Recently changed my callisto grey RT …. for another callisto grey one, this time with dynamic pack, audio, keyless and the central locked top case with brake light.
Additional bonus was finding it had a tracker fitted :D
