Re: Grip Replacement

Apologies for dragging up an old thread. The grips on my 2018 were looking a bit worn so I tried a tip that I found on another forum, Cricket bat handle grip cut to size and slipped over the current grip. Re: SOS warning

I've recently bought an 18 plate 1200RT which has sat in my garage without turning a wheel for the past 6 weeks, then at last I got a hospital appointment that allowed me to lawfully go ride the bike  ;D I'd done about 4 miles when I looked down and saw the orange triangle with an SOS on th...

Re: Air vests video

A valid point, and happily having an off is not something that’s happened to me since 1977, but it’s ‘All the gear, all the time’ for me. I agree that there is the possibility that the airbag may not fire before you hit the ground, but would after you and the bike separate.  From experience...

Re: Mirror retention cables

Re: Wunderlich vs Illium Protection Bars?

The worrying thing about the video is that, if you watch carefully, something appears to fly off the bike as it hits the ground!

Re: Weather Protection - Infill Panels

Pyramid Products don’t do one for the ‘14-19 R1200RTLC, so it’s Hornig or Puig with associated costs of about £108 instead of about £50!

Re: Mirror retention cables

It seems the mirrors may be but the covers aren’t, I knocked the n/s one off when I caught it with my elbow in the garage yesterday.

Re: First boxer needs accessories

Congratulations and welcome. I guess everyone has their own priorities, but for me the purchase of the RT was all about touring so mine were selected with that in mind. I managed to pick up most second hand on here so the pain to my wallet was muted. Essential items marked * *Headlight protector *Cy...
