Re: The real difference between 14 and 15 model?
(1) Keyless ignition.
(2) Blue color available.
(3) I think it shifts into and out of first gear without the clutch more smoothly than it did on my ex-14.

Re: taller wind screen for rt?
That is crazy.
Never had a problem with an electric screen going up and down with a tall Cee Bailey shield on an R1200RT, an R1150RT, or a 2005 through 2015 R1200RT.

Re: taller wind screen for rt?
Cee Bailey makes a tall windshield. I am 6-4 and use it. You can find info an a picture here:

If you have an older RT, the info and picture is here:

Re: 2005 rt
Avoid pre-2007 R1200RTs. They have the weird servo brakes to be avoided.
From 2007 on the brakes are fine.

Re: Fresh blood! Considering purchasing an RT
I agree with looking for a 2014 RT, because the 2015s are out and discounts on 2014s are available.
Other than that, you cannot go wrong with a good, low mileage, well-cared-for RT from 2007 or newer. Avoid pre-2007 models.

Re: 2015 Marino blue R1200RT
I do not use the radio, so I removed the ugly antenna. I store it in the top box in case I need it.

I picked up my San Marino blue 2015 R1200RT on Oct. 31Except for the "gray nose" I love the color.
