Re: Tank bags

Hi, yes where did you get that link from ?

Ah, just seen it, it's for the 2013 LC model, which I believe is different than the 2005 model's that use the mounting rail.

Passenger footpegs

Hi, went out for our first two-up ride on the R1200RT this weekend. My wife is tall, and she's complaining that her legs are bent up pretty tight on the footpegs.

Is anyone using or can recommend a set of lower or adjustable rear footpegs for a 2005 model ?

Thanks

Re: Tank bags

Do you know which tank rig fitting kit is for the 2005 R1200RT I can't seem to see it listed. They show the BF-17 for the GS of the same year ???

Re: Tank bags

Thanks for the baglux info, I'll get that as it's only £44 and will allow me to use my old faithful bagster tank bag :-)

Tank bags

Hi, I have a "new to me" 2005 R1200RT, and I'm finding the price of the BMW tank bag just a little bit too expensive.. My bike has the mounting rail on top of the tank. What other options are there that people are using (if any)  I already have a good selection of bags, magnetic &...

GPS holder

Hi, I'm looking to get a sat nav mount for my 2005 1200RT, I've seen a few different types online and on bikes. The ones I've seen seem to mount behind the screen on top of the dash (above the clocks)  Any recommendations on best one, price etc etc I'd like it to maybe hold my i phone as we...

Alternator Belt

Hi all.  I'm doing a full service on my 2005 1200RT, so I decided to replace the alternator belt. Looking for the correct replacement I found a confusing number of options, some stating Conti-tech  4PK592, some saying conti-tech 4PK611 with various explanations of lengths, others s...

Re: Spare Key

Just an update on this post. I replaced both batteries in the alarm unit, and both keyfob batteries. Nothing on the alarm worked, so I went through the registering process for the fobs + the programming sequence and everything now works fine :-) Are these alarms pretty reliable in normal service ? I...

side stand bolt

Whilst cleaning my newly acquired 2005 R1200RT today, I noticed that the side stand bolt is completely missing !!! The side stand switch just lifts away, and I can see that there's no bolt through the swivel.... thought it was leaning over a bit too far on the stand. The spring and everything else i...

Re: Spare Key

Thanks for the info, ordered two spare keys today. Also just read up that my alarm battery (under the seat) needs replacing, as the bike displays DWA and a battery symbol when I turn it on. Ordered two CR123 lithium ones today. Going to do a service at the weekend, oil(s) filters etc etc inc final d...
