Re: MPG - at the risk of sounding like an anorak...
23,100 miles on my ‘11 absolutely bare, no panniers or trunk, single 210 pounds of me, proper tire inflation and not riding like a squid or “spirited” 47mpg.

Re: Looking at a 2011 R1200RT on Sunday. Some questions.
I’m a first time r1200rt owner myself. Mine is an ‘11 premium package that I bought in 2014 from a family friend with 10,780 miles on the odometer. I am the second owner and now have 23,700 miles on it. I came from the in-line 4 family and now that I think about it, it took me very little time to ge...

Re: Strap-on Storage Cubby w/backrest
I’ve got a Corbin “smuggler” on my rt. Love it for its moderate storage space, small lower spine support and its sporty look.

Re: Steering lock issues
I tried everything while the bike was on its center stand and side stand. The key refused to make the final locking position. So... I took it off the center stand and just straddled the bike, and now it decides to work like a champ. Every time. Weird as I don’t recall the lock not working while on e...

Steering lock issues
Well chit, for some reason my steering lock will not engage. The bike is always garaged and out of the elements. Strange.

Re: RT TC
Love my ‘11 tc. I don’t love the stock rear shock. Had it rebuilt recently and honestly I should have just bought an aftermarket shock instead. The bike only has 22k on the odometer. Advice on which one to get would be greatly appreciated!

Re: A Stop While Riding the Florida Panhandle
Nice shots! I’d really like to see that part of Florida. I lived in Tampa and St. Pete for 2 years but never made it to the pan handle area. One of these days..

Re: Retired or about to retire?
I turn 60 in November and 41 years as a bricklayer. 5 more years and I’ll throw in the towel. I bought my first and only rt in ‘14 with very low miles and very well taken care of. I can definitely say I’ll buy a new one in a year or two.
