PMR Radio interference
Hello, not sure which section this should be in. I have a problem with very loud "channel" noise - the hiss you hear when you are listening on a radio and someone else opens the channel to transmit. I'm running Autocom Pro Avi comms units (2 bikes) with PMR radios. Rider to pillion no prob...

Re: Coolant expansion bottle vent
David, thanks for that. Pehaps they're using up some old stock of expansion bottles.

Re: Coolant expansion bottle vent
Harry advises after checking with a techy that that is how the bikes are.
Interesting if anyone has had a look at theirs to see if they are the same.

Coolant expansion bottle vent
Hello, stripped off some plastic to enable me to run the cables in for an INNOVV C5 camera. Whilst looking at all the bits of the engine that I can't normally see, I noticed that the coolant expansion bottle did not have a pipe on the overflow. Which I think means that if things get too hot then the...

Re: Central Locking
Ah, the very useful top box interior light.
Didn't know I had one, found it on a Monday morning, after leaving the bike on Friday afternoon.
Bike started fine, but now if I need to leave to box open, i close the catch which puts the light out.

Re: Cyl Head Protectors.
Just the plastic insert on the covers. Swimbo said it looked like slow motion as I gently let it com to rest.
Very pleased, just annoyed.

Re: Cyl Head Protectors.
I used the BMW ones on my 2014 and trabsferred them to my current 2018. The good thing is that the plastic insert is easily replaceable should you ever drop the bike. Oops like I did trying to do a silly U-turn in Scotland (as swimbo keeps reminding me) on a bad road fully loaded. In fact it was onl...

Re: Fighting to stay dry
Kickten, in my youth, many many years ago, I suffered the same as you, but since returning to biking, about 20years ago I have only had 2 outfits and both were, are, complately waterproof. The first was a textile two-piece from J&S Accessories at Northwich. The second some 8 years ago was anothe...

Re: Dashcam position
Beagle, great news. As an aside, how did you fix the camera under the headlight? My drift Ghost S is held in a locking bracket with 3M (or similar) fixing the bracket. When I fitted the camera to the CBR I had to make a bracket to connect the fittings supplisd to a fairing fixing. It is good and sec...

Re: Dashcam position
Just had a real close look at your image (400%). 2 things: really daft but ignoring the curvature, is it "seeing" the garage opening? Secondly, and probably a better bet, it looks as if the lens is set too fat back in the housing and it's "seeing" the camera housing. In which cas...

Re: Dashcam position
That's where I've mounted by Ghost S. I was going to replace it with a C5 because I can hard wire the power.
If you unmount the camera off the bike, is the image still curved?
I can't think of anything in the settings but I'll have a look at the CBR tomorrow and let you know.
