Re: Michelin Road 5 GT UK

As someone who has a relative lifetime putting PR2/3/4/4GTs on replacing any OEM tyre on a range of bikes I tried a Metzeler Roadtec 01s and I am a convert... Until the PR5 starts winning in reviews against the new benchmark I'm very happy with Metzeler.  It is only a positive as a ...

Re: Improving lighting on BMW RT1200 LC 2015

The easy option to improve on the standard lights is just to replace the bulbs with something like Osram Night Breaker Unlimited or Philips X-Treme Vision both give a stronger whiter light, makes enough of a difference for me!  Peter

Re: Anyone tried an AC Schnitzer silencer?

I have a stainless Remus on my 2015RT LC, with DB killer in it is a bit noisier than stock which I like.  If you take it out it is too loud to tour with, at least that is my personal reference.  I got an even better price on the Remus buying from a French dealer on e-bay which has ...

+1 :-) I have a 2015 RT and rode a 2017 RS the other day, although the spec of the engine has not changed on paper I think BMW continue to make small improvements in the electronics as the pro-shift seemed much smoother on the RS!  Peter

Re: Which tyres for my RT

The Metzeler Roadtec 01 beat PR4, Roadsmart and other sport touring tyres in a Motorrad Magazine test. The Roadtec 01 have been the best feeling and gripping tyres I've had on my R1200Rt LC so far, out of Bridgestone T30, PR4 and The Roadtec. Could not agree more, I'm massive PR4/PR4GTs fan and had ...

Re: Nav 6 won't turn on and clock frozen in time.

Had this once on my Nav V when touring, rebooting did not fix the problem, but a hard reset did - can't remember there is a key sequence or a pin hole under the cover that needs a paper clip.  After this it never repeated the behaviour!  Peter

Re: IDIOT AUDI DRIVER

Probably going to get trashed for saying this:-) but there appeared to be plenty of nearside space for the rider to move over and let the Audi go without being inconvenience...  Regardless car or bike, if someone wants to go faster and I can move over, even if I have to back off a little, I...

Re: Unusual Tyre wear?

Same problems on Z8s should have been dealt with my Metzeler long ago but sadly not :-( went to Michelin PR4s with at least predictable wear and now with RoadTec01 which are predictable and handle better than PR4s (in my view:-)) Peter
