Re: Top case connection

I can see why someone may have done that. The connector under the seat slows down top box fitting or removal. But to be fair how often is that?

I would suspect the connector gets a bit of dirt and water off the back wheel. Best left under the seat maybe.

Re: Muddy headers

I think you have it there, accountants saving a Euro or two on cheap metals. It's not so bad on an RT with the bodywork but looks awful on a GS.

Re: R1300RT?

When is too big for a twin, especially a Boxer? 1250? 1300? 1500? 1800? I accompanied a pal who was testing an R1800. He hated it so much that he offered it to me to ride back to the dealer. I declined. Bumpy motor, loads of rock when throttle moved and way too wide to filter in heavy traffic on the...

Muddy headers

Muddy headers. Had a chat with some 1250GSA friends over the weekend. One of them has header pipes that look like they have a thin coating of mud on them but that is the colour they have gone. Seems BMW have been replacing them as they were made of inferior steel. My headers on my 70 plate 1250 are ...

Might have been police. I which case they will have documented it.

Good luck with your appeal.
