Re: How do you aim your mirrors?

I agree with RTman. I have the stock bars on my  RT LC and the stock mirrors are amongst the best I've had on any bike. And I've had a very wide range of different makes and models over the years. But that doesn't remove the need for an actual look behind you when pulling out to overtake o...

Re: BMW topbox

Looks great, hope mine looks just as good in Callisto grey metallic  Interested to see how your paint guy does with the matte finish paint.  That was one of my concerns.  I wondered how good local paint shops here would do if I needed a repair in that finish.&a...

Re: How do you aim your mirrors?

Must be talking about the pre LC.  Mirrors on the LC are a huge improvement over the old design, if a little uglier. I can't stand the LC mirrors.  Had auxiliary GS or RS mirrors on the old '05 model when I got it, and I see why.  Do you have any kind of barback on your L...

Re: crusing speed

On the new LC models, you can roll-on and pass easy enough in 6th.  I rarely have to downshift to do that, unless the oncoming traffic requires that get it down in an extreme hurry.

Any particular reason you find it necessary to make some snarky comment every time someone mentions engine bars?  We get it.  You don't like them.  Then don't install a set.  Nobody cares about your preference.

Re: crusing speed

When at cruising speed on the interstate (75-85+), I put it in 6th.  Otherwise, I keep it in 5th when cruising on open back roads.

Re: BMW topbox

hi guy's, I'm in need of some assistance, when I bought my RT I traded in my K1600 but removed the topbox to put on the RT. My problem is I'm going to get the topbox resprayed and was wondering if you can 'strip' the topbox apart so I can just take the lid of the topbox in to the spray shop&nbs...

I bought the SW-Motech from Revzilla, and it works just fine with keyless.

Ventura wrote: Thank you very much…didn't see the tank bag video,,,but there are others important videos… ;D  saw it somewhere lease,,,doesn't it cause damage to the fuel cover after some time…??

The ring is plastic and the fuel cap/housing is metal, so no, it won't damage it.

In case you haven't looked at the new RT from the side, it all looks like scaffolding.

Hey mercator1 - Sorry to hear about your drop, so frustrating!  Do you have pictures of your RT with the bars on it?  Curious what they look like, I would consider doing the same.
