Can I suggest setting your location and bike in your profile. It helps people give more relevant advice.

Re: Considering Coming Over from S1000R - What to know?
I'm 5' 5" and cope with the bike no problem, low seat in high position - 29" inside leg. You might be ok with the standard seat in low position with that extra bit of height you have, I can without a passenger but as soon as SWMBO is there i need that extra bit the low seat gives me. I fin...

Re: From RS to RT

Re: SOS warning
My 1250 was showing an orange engine warning light for a while today. Came on after a restart, then disappeared after another. No idea why.

Re: Looking for a smaller BMW tourer.
Thanks for all the suggestions. Does anybody know about the reliability of the Rotax engine? At 85 hp with the lighter weight, I'd think it's pretty quick. Also, does it have standard handlebars, so that they can be rotated up or down? BTW, I'd also welcome s...

I would agree with that. I dropped a (hired) fully loaded Indian Roadmaster at the Hoover dam, that thing weighed over half a tonne, not an exaggeration, and about four or five people helped me get it upright.

Re: R1250RT Camera mount
I would forget behind screen, all the tiny scratches you cannot see will show up. The advantages of the under light bracket compared to the other one I mention are the it does not move if you adjust the screen and you have more choice over how to position and direct it. It is also less visible if yo...

Hello Gavj, Wunderlich also produce a front camera mount that mounts under the headlight. Product code 44600-610. Personally I have not tried but it may be suitable to your requirements. https://www.procycles.com.au/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/44600-610_01_1500_web-100x100.jpg I've got o...

What happens if you need legal defence for criminal proceedings brought against you relating to an insured vehicle.
I could be wrong but I believe those policies don't cover you for criminal defence costs

Re: Motorcycle Insurance "Legal Expenses Cover"
Quite a few years ago I was a motor insurance claims handler and can tell you from first hand experience that the majority of these legal cover firms are mostly made up of inexperienced clerks with one or two really solicitors giving the firm its name and status. I've also seen instances where they ...

Newest recommendations seem to be keeping your wallet on you somewhere if you are traveling by yourself. If there is an accident and you are separated from your bike, you may end up at the hospital without any identification and your wallet ends up at the tow yard with your bike..... Actu...

I wouldn't use WD40, it attracts dirt and tends to makes things worse. Probably worth trying some switch cleaner
