Re: Glare from plastic instrument panel
It's a bit of a problem, I find tilting it down does improve a bit, (it's all to do with angles, ) I wear a yellow reflective vest and when the sun is on the front of that you can see the speedo/rev counter but the LCD panel is lost in the yellow glare, my Honda Crosstourer's panel points ...

Re: Getting On The Bike
I always put my weight ,(14 stone) on the left peg when swinging aboard the RT, no probs with side stand, it's pretty meaty and strong.
PS. can't ride or do anything now for 3 months and continuing since I snapped the Achilles tendon in my right ankle putting my Honda Crosstourer on it's centre stand.

Re: Gearchange Assist
All down to personal choice, for me I had a 2013 RT with normal g/box and after 4 months of heaving the clutch lever every time to change gear and starting to hurt the top of my left foot thanks to the little gear lever I changed to a 2016 RT with the quick shifter, it's great and I wouldn't go back...

Re: RT Stripes.
Casbar/Mondeoman Glad you like what I have done. Got the stripes from here (recognise the bike?). He was very helpful in designing and providing the stripes for me. Highly recommended. https://www.gsstickerman.co.uk/shop/liquid-cooled-r1200rt-tri-colour-fairing-pannier-kit/ Steve P Thanks Steve, I ...

Re: Gap insurance
Not worth it, money down the pan UNLESS you have a total write off crash and if you did then the bike's the least of your worry's, in the words of Rodney Trotter, " Don't have a crash then "
