Re: Factory LED lights added - don’t work

I believe that you have to have them 'Turned On' by your local BMW stealer. Control by ECU I think.

Re: Easy Access to Battery for Trickle-Charging over the Winter.

I use an SAE connector to the battery - post & the + terminal on the engine rear(Red Cap) then locate the Female end under the seat. I use a generic smart charger with the male SAE connector to maintain the charge on the bike over winter, never had a problem with this method.

Re: Fuel filler neck mod.

Take a look at the fiche at MaxBMW https://shop.maxbmw.com/fiche/DiagramsM ... d=07242017
It might help, can't see why it shouldn't lift up to get to the filler neck.

Re: keyless fob not detected

That is a warranty issue. The dealer needs to contact BMW mother ship & get it sorted out.

Re: Problem connecting a Nav V

Did you try using Garmin express, even though got the not connected message?
The NAV V connects using a different method (can't remember what it's called) to Windows machine & NOT MASS STORAGE as you see other devices.

Re: Accessory socket issues

You are correct in that the accessory socket will not support your pump. Install an SAE connector to the battery & solve your problems.

Re: Bad bike iPod cable?

I got a cable prior to getting the 2016 RT, but after looking into how the system works, got a USB stick 16GB & filled it with music. No problems with space in the left box &/or Ipod's.

Re: 2014 R1200RT Final Drive Spline Grease - Help!

To help loosen the locktite I would use a Hair dryer or heat gun. Have done this with my K1200LT & 1150GSA FD removals. Doesn't have flame that can cause burning of seals...just need to get it very warm to break the bolt free.

Re: Metzeler Roadtec 01s just delivered

I have had the original Z8, they were good, but wore out in 7K. I then tried a set of Shinko Verge II these tires are a lot cheaper & I had no problem with them dry or really wet 2 up, they were a little noisy but I had full confidence in them. I got about 9500k out of them. Decided to try a set...

I use the BIG YELLOW BUS, easy to see, & unless the driver goes out of control always point in direction I am going.
