Re: Helmet Camera
I have a variety of powerpacks and charge anything that has a usb or micro usb charge port with them. Only issue is the capacity and charge rate of the power pack and the needs of the unit being charged.

Re: pannier inner bags for sale (uk)
I had considered the liners, instead use the ziplock type storage bags and a carrier bag or back pack. The ziplocks are great as you squash the air out and takes up much less space. Found them very useful when flying using only hand luggage as bike parking is free at Heathrow empty the panniers and ...

Re: Southern ride out ... Sunday 10am Newbury
It would have been interesting to have joined you, as I could have picked up at Stockbridge if it was anti-clockwise. Unfortunately my volunteering day with the disabled ski group at Aldershot. I'll look out for the next one, if it's this part of the country.
Have a safe one.

Re: Banker and ex police bike
It was unfortunate the Magistrate believed the twaddle he came out with, it seems a prety straightforward case of trying to impersonate a police officer. Adding the stickers and lights was a bit obvious as to intention. Just goes to show how much trust you can have in bankers (presumably investment ...

Re: System 7 helmet review
Just got the System to replace an old Shoei which is very comfortable but a feels slightly heavier than the 7. I took a size M 56-57 shell, although on the Shoei I'm a S 55-56 shell. Not spent too many hours with it but I found the cheek pads and the front section narrower and pinches more than the ...

Spot on, approach from the Italian side just outside Courmayer on the way to the tunnel. Great ride down the Aosta valley.

Hi STeinar, agree this thread has gone a little too far and probably needs to be off-line now.

Re: Price Comparison !!!
Unfortunate fact of life, most things with a brand have at least a 20% uplift. I had the same with my old Audi, the EBC discs and pads that are the OEM suppliers were 30% less than the same ones with the Audi brand and recommended by the ex-Audi tech. The only downside with bike bits are more specia...

Re: 2012 R1200RT won’t start. Neutral wire? Terminal 15 - 0.00v
Hi, might not be the same problem mine had and the solution was simple when isolated. Everything lit up on mine properly just refused to start. The AA guy hot wired the starter and it fired up fine. It came down to the start/kill switch fault. I dismantled the switch took the plastic outer...

I agree, the Swiss make it expensive a you do need a carnet for travelling and unless you are into the banking fraternity income bracket pretty horrendous eating and drinking. If you can a find a route thorugh either via Austria or France into the Italian Alps and across to the Dolomites there's som...

Re: Anyone Using BMW's fuel additive?
One of the Which? reports was quite disparaging on additives some time back. The cheaper supermarket fuels are not usually to the same composition as the premium brands as the legal requirements are fairly basic. More recently cheaper fuels have a higher bio-ethanol 10% component which allows the fu...

Re: Bowing out
As there has not been a post from BtB for a while does this imply he is no longer part of the discussion. In which case are we now discussing the merits of feedback loops and the etiquettes (if any exist) in using social media as a means. Think the choice of who we ride with is a very personal choic...

Re: IAM Advanced Rider Training - Observed Ride #2
Typical piece of guidance that confuses rather than clarifies. There are enough ambiguities in it, that probably could challenge a citation depending on at what point on the road the limit is set, which might not be where the sign is as you noted!
