The mileage is around 52k. I m hopeful that pads have been changed before this. Discs may be original, I’m not sure. Need put a set of very nears on to them myself to check. Last mot said they were at 4.5mm.

My mate and I are planning on doing the nc500 this year on our bikes. I am looking for guidance on best, but not so expensive, bike to bike coms that we can use for the trip. Any info on makes. How good they usually are in helmet with wind noise etc. How they work i.e: via phone or rf. Any guidance ...

They seem fine need to take bike for longer ride to be completely certain but think they will defo make position more comfortable.

Got the foot peg lowering kit fitted to my 2010 R1200 fitted over the weekend. Quite a straightforward job. The hardest bit being to relocate the heavy spring into place. The back rest is bolted onto the front face of the passenger seat. The whole thing comes away with the back seat so as not to cause an obstruction when needing to remove the riders seat to work on battery or such. Obviously you need to make sure that the passenger seat is located and locked properly...
