Service question

Morning all,
Total noob question, what are the service intervals for a 2018 R1200RT? The bike has done 13k and was serviced 12 months ago, but only a basic service. Something in my grey matter suggests that 12k is a large service with valve clearances needing checking?

Restoring black plastic

The new to me 2018 RT has a few UV damaged area of black plastic. Some parts will restore with heat, other areas which are a different type of plastic wont. Is there a method for perminently getting it to look black again?

2018 LE Bike Specs

Morning all,
Trying to work out what equipment my 2019 R1200RT LE would have come as standard from the factory as I can't find anything on the internet, I know it's got a few extras like top box and low-level lights but would like to understand what the basic LE had.

2018 R1200RT Engine Bars

Good morning all, I'm wanting to fit engine and pannier bars to the 2018 R1200RT I've recently purchased, the issue is that the bike is fitted with OEM "running" lights on the bottom of the fairing, which precludes me from using Heed bars (my preferred choice) does anyone know which bars c...

2018 R1200RT Radio Retro Fit

Good morning all,
Quick couple of questions:

1, Is it easy to retro fit a stereo (head unit) to a bike (2018 R1200RT)?
2, Do you have to use a BMW unit or can something else be used?

Many thanks

Re: Police Beacons

We have just taken ours off. If you have already found the plugs and they are not working then someone has disconnected them from the canbus. They will in this case need to be programmed, as the switches can be programmed to perform lots of different functions. Specialist vehicles in Andover Hants ...

Re: Police Beacons

Hi, thanks for this, I thought this may be the case with Canbus, I was thinking about just wiring into the battery via a relay and using the switch as just that a milliamp switch.  Any advice or help you can give would be good, and a link or otherwise to Andover would be good.
