but why can't you just push the wheel round, like I've been doing for years??

Re: taller wind screen for rt?
The only problems I have ever seen on any model of RT have been electrical ones. Never overloaded motors or broken connection parts. All you loose with a larger screen is mpg. The benefit I find with the taller screen is that it's in the lowest position most of the time anyway. ...

Re: NEW TO THE SITE - IMPRESSED
My humble advice. Go for the latest edition you can find. There is little or no technical differences from 2010 to 2013. The Special Edition one done in 2013 are all black and include a colour matched top box with some nice colour changes to the bars etc. A top box is...

Visit every time I am in the area, I am ex forces so always feel drawn to the memorials and sites, plus there is a great steak house in Albert [emoji12]DaygloDavid wrote: Thiepval Memorial is about 5 miles from Albert, have you visited it.
So much to see and so much unexplored.

May 22nd Harz mountains then to Cochem and another trip to Germany at the beginning of September to the wine festival at Bernkastel. I must say I've been to Germany about 10 times and absolutely love the roads over there. Lovely area around the Mosel providing the Motorhomes all keep out of the way

Re: What have you got planned for 2015?
I have a short tour planned early May taking in a Rally near Ypres followed by a couple of days near Albert, both places visited frequently as I love the area.
However this year I am determined to have a few days riding around Wales as its one place I have never really explored.

Re: Weather protection
When I clean my bike I am surprised at the amount of crud on the back of the panniers, after I have sponged them down I normally give them a liberal coat of WD40, makes cleaning them a bit more straight forward and protects the mechanisms.

Re: BULLRACK- Pannier and Top Case Wall Mounts-R1200RT and more
Certainly an 'idea'
The only time mine come off my RT are for cleaning. To me the bike doesn't look right riding without them. Having said that they can be vulnerable when sat on the floor and you try squeezing past them moving about the shed.
