Re: connection problems with connection between navigator V and Packtalk re MP3 play

Yes, I just unticked the Packtalk on the Nav as a shared bluetooth connection. On the phone front, I pair my phone directly with the Packtalk when riding other bikes, so I wouldn't miss the phone not showing on the Nav. Sorry if I'm being a bit pedantic, just want to make sure I have got this right...

Re: connection problems with connection between navigator V and Packtalk re MP3 play

And guess what, he is correct. I unpaired my Packtalk from the Nav. Switched on the audio from the bike, and setup a simulated route on my Nav V, and the Nav came through to the helmet, tried on radio, usb (memory stick) and aux position and it worked fine. The only issue I can see, is with no BT c...

Re: Garmin Nav 6 'My Motorcycle' App

My understanding is that the 'My Motorcycle' app, and the related integration functionality, was introduced for the 2017MY / Euro4 bikes. So if you have an earlier bike (no reflectors on the forks) then it won't work. I suppose it's possible that there are some bikes out there that date from the tra...

Re: Garmin Nav 6 'My Motorcycle' App

The functionality is definitely there on the Euro 4 spec LC (so 2017 MY and onward). I brought my Nav V over from a LC GS and it worked just as well on the new bike as on the old. If you are not getting it then you need to have a chat with the dealer.

Re: connection problems with connection between navigator V and Packtalk re MP3 play

I'm not sure if I have understood correctly some of the above comments? Is it being suggested that on the LC if you are connected via BT to the audio system, and there is no BT connection to the Nav V, then the audio prompts should come through the audio channel? That definitely doesn't happen on my...

Re: Slip-on exhaust for LC R1200 RT

Ah, they are looking for someone to buy an exhaust and get a discount in return for the loan of the bike. Not something I would be up for at the moment. Aside from just having fitted the Remus slip-on, the bike still have over a year of warranty on it and I won't be looking at changing the headers u...

Re: RT-LC vs GS-LC

Well, with both the RT, and previously the GS, I have learned to stand on the left-hand peg before swinging my right leg over. I also think it's an age thing, I just don't seem to have the mobility I used to (sad to admit as I'm not even that old yet). In terms of 'feet down' I'm 6' 1" and I ca...

Re: How many RT LC owners actually have problems / issues?

Had the lower covers off yesterday for a full clean and application of ACF50. I had a good look while I was at it. The image below is the only corrosion I can find on the bike. So it could be worse. I will raise it with the dealer at the next service.

Re: RT-LC vs GS-LC

I agree with Casbar. The RT is perfect for touring but if you don't plan to do long distances or ride regularly in poor weather then I would say the GS is a better choice.

Re: How many RT LC owners actually have problems / issues?

Quick question, has anyone had corrosion problems with the black engine. Salesman told me yesterday that they haven't seen any issues with the black running gear. But then I supposed its mostly newer models so it may have not happened yet  8) Mine is the black engine / swing arm. Not spott...

Re: Slip-on exhaust for LC R1200 RT

Long shot, but does anyone live in Cumbria, if so would you be willing to lend your bike to Fuel Exhausts for a few days so they can pattern a system? Way cheaper than akro or remus, but I'm too far away. I'm a bit south of Cumbria but if no-one closer can help it might be possible to work somethin...

Re: How many RT LC owners actually have problems / issues?

Checking my bike over at the weekend and was disappointed to see that there is a small amount of corrosion now appeared on the swing arm next to the rubber seal at the articulation joint. So far it's the only area (that I can see) and may be the result of dirt/water being trapped in the seal. Will m...

Re: connection problems with connection between navigator V and Packtalk re MP3 play

All on the latest version, do you have a Nav VI because the mp3 player on the Nav V is disabled if you have audio on the bike. Therefore, I am playing music either from the radio or through a memory stick in the glove box. Not from the Nav directly. Read back up and you'll see that I clarified this...

Yes Packtalk.
Then that's annoying, as mine most definitely will not work in that configuration. I wonder what's different. Software version maybe? Have you updated the Packtalk to the latest software version or are you running an older one?

Casbar wrote: So I have the same setup with the bike audio, one channel connected to the bike for audio and one connected to the Nav V for nav instructions. Phone is connected to the Nav V. The audio seems to work fine in this setup, but I am not using the Nav V MP3 player.
Is this with a Scala PackTalk?
