Okay, Okay don't mock the afflicted, after all we are all responsible serious `Bikers' here, so perhaps these useful idea's will help with mounting that RT....... :be happy: ( feel free to add more !! )

When you read Davids above link, through,  you see that the problem was eventually traced and resolved, so as said  worth noting for future reference.    ( good `find' , David ).........

Hi mhr43, if it helps; ( From an earlier Posting re Puncture Repair Kits ) Best to carry a `Puncture repair Kit', takes 10-15 minutes to fix at road side - alternatively wait 2 hours +, for a recovery assistance. Buy a Kit with a substantive air valve, not with a flimsy plastic one that will snap of...

Sh-t,  I would never have guessed that....... :alas:

Hi JonGray, welcome ,  enjoy the new `toy' and this Forum.    Keep an eye on `FleaBay',  there have been a few genuine 1200rt `mint'  tank bags on there recently and at a fraction of the initial cost.....

That does looks grim, I would assume the tyre's were not run  over inflated, there seems to still be sufficient `outer' tread ?.........

Just as well by the sounds of it Peter,  I've read on other forums of the steel thread issues with these particular tyres...... ::)

If that does not work hold the on / off button for 10 seconds and retry........

Is this when it powers up on first use ,  if new unit,  may have been / left, set to  a factory default ? ie  0000
