That could be worth a try, certainly one of the cheaper options!

Airhawk / Tourtec inflatable seat cushion advice needed.
Hello Chaps, I have a short France and Germany tour next summer consisting of about 1200 miles over 5 days. I am concerned that my seat may start to be rather uncomfortable during this trip so am considering purchasing an Airhawk inflatable seat cushion or perhaps Tourtec which seem to be less expen...

Re: Girder Fork and Classic Motorcycle Club
I too attended this on a spur of the moment whim. I parked my RT in the car park next to this oddity....[attachimg=1]

Re: 2016 R1200RT Autocom SPA Installation, PDM60 Installation
RTman10-I have bought a Logic L1 kit which is basic and ordered the extras eg power leads, battery eliminator (for kenwood PMR). It should all be here by weekend then I can have a good look at it and see what goes where and what extra cables/leads I may need.

Re: 2016 R1200RT Autocom SPA Installation, PDM60 Installation
Thanks beemerboy9. I was aware of the headset plug difference but unsure about the music leads etc. If the Autocom music lead is 3.5mm 3-pole then I should be okay but if it is 4-pole then perhaps it may not work. I will have to wait and see when it arrives. Thank you anyway.

Re: 2016 R1200RT Autocom SPA Installation, PDM60 Installation
PS Does anyone know if the Starcom cables ie music, phone etc... are compatible/interchangeable with Autocom. Or am I looking at forking out for new cables?

Re: 2016 R1200RT Autocom SPA Installation, PDM60 Installation
Thanks RTman10. The Logic should arrive within the next day or so. Before I try to fit it I will have a trial run at powering up via switched live etc...and see what happens. Thanks for your help so far-I may need it further !!! Cheers, John

Re: 2016 R1200RT Autocom SPA Installation, PDM60 Installation
Thanks Timminator for the link but I am ok for wiring the speakers up, in fact I may use if possible my already installed Starcom cable if it is compatible. Further investigation(reading the instructions) reveals that the Logic only powers up when headset is connected if being powered by internal AA...

Re: 2016 R1200RT Autocom SPA Installation, PDM60 Installation
If the Logic powers up when headset plugged in and powers down when headset unplugged then no worries about canbus detecting a power draw and not shutting down. I didn't know that these Autocom units switched on and off like my present Starcom. Thanks for your input Guys.

Re: 2016 R1200RT Autocom SPA Installation, PDM60 Installation
According to the sheet included with part 2437 it does connect to Pos and Neg of battery, then Pos and Neg of Autocom power lead connect inside of 2437. Part 2437 also has another Pos wire which connects to switched live. I presume this is so the switched live can open the relay within 243...

Autocom part 2437 fitting
Can anybody please tell me the best place to connect Autocom part 2437 to on 2016 RT. The part in question is a fused relay remote switch. It must be connected to a switched live but Autocom advise against connecting to the brake light circuit, and I am sure I have read somewhere that conn...

Re: Trolley Dolly
I too have been using a dolly (Constand) for several years now and find it an absolute joy to be able to manoeuvre my RT across the garage (shed). I can even use it on my block paved drive with care. The only problem I have encountered is that if you don't get it quite right when putting the bike on...

Re: RT LC Autocom & B2B Installation
As promised to Paggers, some photo's of my Starcom installation. It sits neatly inside the side fairing with a couple of pieces of 3m dual lock which is plenty strong enough to hold it in place but allows easy removal for adjustment etc...I just need to fashion some sort of splash guard to keep the ...
