Re: Werks Vs new AeroFlow
How tall are you? I am 5ft 8 and have zero turbulence with the Werks screen. Never have it all the way up, in fact I leave it in the same position all the time, never have to adjust unlike the standard screen. The only thing I notice is i get a draft on my neck, but i used to get a cold neck with t...

Werks Vs new AeroFlow
At the suggestion of other riders on this forum, after I bought my new RT I upgraded the shield to a Werks Quiet ride. The stock shield wasn't as bad as the K16, but still wasn't great. The Werks shield really improved the wind management on the bike and I was generally quite pleased. This autumn, A...

Re: No power to aux socket - RTLC
HI John, I assume by the time i post this you will have already visited the dealer and the problem rectified. I reviewed the service manual and there is no specific guidance related to a failure of the socket to boot up. If I understand you correctly, not only does the charger fail to initiate the s...

Re: Winter storage
To the OP-- I too am a Canadian, and having lived in the UK for a few years, I would have to disagree with those comments above... but thats another story... Anyway, begin by pouring an appropirate amount of fuel stabilizer into the bike , and then filling it and taking it for a short ride ( i bring...

Re: Gel, Air or Bean pad etc ... Numb bum cure wanted
I also agree that the airhawk does the trick for me. To be honest , and maybe it is just me , I have yet to find a really good stock seat. It's one of the first things I change. I am planning to upgrade my '16 seat to a Russell this coming winter, but in the meantime am using an Airhawk R ...

For removal - it also requires a bent wire to engage (or disengage) the key cylinder retainer.axamax wrote: Thanks. For lubrication? or removal?

Re: 9 Easy Questions from a Lurking Newbie
I'll assume you are in North America or Australia , since you used the dollar sign. You would be well served to arrange a spot on the annual demo rides that are going on right now. One interesting comment on the RT-- it actually has a higher load capacity (in weight) than the Wing. as far as liking ...

Re: IMPROVED HORN
I'm actually impressed by the horn on my 06 RT. Much better than anything on the Jap or Italian bikes I've owned. Did they change this when they took away the excellent servo brakes (just kidding!) for the 07 model? Your 06 has a great horn. I was at the introduction of the 1200RT back in the day, ...

Re: Jackets..??
Last year i bought a 2 piece Rukka suit from a Canadian retailer and have been very pleased with it. I bought the sporty Armas suit and pants. They aint cheap, but the fit is excellent and the function is exceptional. And for function, this seems to be the only suit i have owned where in extreme dow...

Re: Does anyone use a tank bag
Where did you get the bag Kiki ?? One Canadian site says that it is not compatible with Key-less....?? SW Motech makes a ring especially for the keyless BMW's -- it is ring #306-- just make sure which line you buy is correct (SW Motech makes 2 lines-- ION and EVO-- ION is the more cost effective, E...

Re: Does anyone use a tank bag
SW Motech EVO Daypack with EVO tank Ring. I have a 2016 RT with Keyless option.
The tank lock Daypack is perfect, and just fits with no bar interference. It has exceptional fit and finish, is expandable, and has internal storage pockets on the sides and top. Love it.

Re: Tank Ring mounted tank bag with Keyless fuel Cap
I used one for 2 years on my adventure bike (and i beat that thing to death) -- the most pristine part of the bike when i sold it was the fuel cap-- haha!
