Re: Just Bought 2014 RT LE

Yes have pro shift, worked out its better after 2nd. Not an issue, was just wondering if its normal, my last BMW was a R80RT which had a terrible gearbox. The bike is booked in for a service on the 20th, so will get everything checked out then. Yes they are clunky. My 2014 is the same. No way aroun...

Re: Corrosion

I have one of the very early 2014 models and have zero corrosion, despite being just 20km away from the ocean and just 5km when I am parked at work.
Looking at all the other forums, corrosion doesn't appear to be a common issue with the Wehead.

Re: RTLC is HOT!

I have ridden mine in 34C here in the summer. Some heat detectable, but never over the level that it is becoming annoying. Sure, compared to my RT Hexhead which had zero heat, you do notice it after a while. But not a deal breaker and that is over here where 30C+ to 40C can happen multiple times in ...

Re: should servo breaks be a deal breaker?

Never had a problem with servo brakes, Neither on my 2004RT Oilhead, nor the 2005RT Hexhead. Some riders intensively dislike them, but I never had an issue in regards to feel. More then enough stopping power. They will give you less stopping power if the engine is off for whatever reason, but not as...

Re: Hill Assist

Love it Nothing better then stopped at a traffic light or T section with an up or down decline and being able to plant both your feet on the ground while not having to hold onto the brake. Central locking? Yep, use it all the time when having the bike at work. Shift assist, can't beat it when hittin...

Re: 2014 RT left hand switchgear

Mine failed within weeks of owning my new 2014RT. This is the actual ON/OFF slide switch.
Was replaced and no more problems so far.
But I just don't use the slide switch anymore as there is just no point. I leave the slide switch now always in the ON position and use the engage toggle switch only.
