Re: Torque Setting
Hey Boxflyer, thanks a million for this info. My RT has just done 15000km. It's still another 5000km to it's next service but if done some touring on it so I just want to change the oil. I'm not even going to change the oil filter. I suppose I'm a creature of habit as I've always changed the oil on ...

Torque Setting
Hi all, wanna change the oil on my RT 1250 (2019). Tried looking for the torque NM of the oil drain plug but cannot find it anywhere. The Instruction Manual that comes with the bike has no info on it. Haynes doesn't do a manual for the 1250 RT either so bar asking the dealer for the torque setting I...

Re: Where / how to buy a motorbike in Spain (Malaga area)
Hi Jack_the_Lad. After looking at the link, I think that the part of Drivers Licences refer to Pre Brexit and not post Brexit. Will need to check that.

Re: Where / how to buy a motorbike in Spain (Malaga area)
Hi Matty, I have attached some info which explains the Driving In Spain/EU developments after Brexit. This booklet has been provided to all Gibraltarian UK citizens by our government and covers a whole aspect of no deal scenarios. Please bear in mind that Gibraltar was not included in the UK/EU deal...

Re: Where / how to buy a motorbike in Spain (Malaga area)
Hi Jack_ the _Lad. As far as I know, it is now an E.U requirement for residents in the EU to have full EU drivers licences. Before exchanging your own drivers licence, though, consider the points I have posted and if you will be spending more that 180 days in the EU. In Gibraltar we are constantly b...

Re: Where / how to buy a motorbike in Spain (Malaga area)
As far as Brexit goes, a UK national can ride or drive a Spanish plated vehicle if it's rented or lent, as long as the UK national is not 180 days or more in the EU. Things change if the same UK national owns property in Spain and has a NIE. If that is the case and you spend more than 180 ...

Re: Fuel prices
Here in Sunny Gib at the moment it's £1.49 for 98Ron and that's expensive. It was £1.12 just before the beginning of the Ukranian war. Dam the torpedoes.

Re: Where / how to buy a motorbike in Spain (Malaga area)
Jack_the_Lad is completely right. Any UK national who wants to ride a bike in Spain with Spanish plates, has to have a Spanish driver's licence or risk a hefty fine from the Guardia Civil traffic police.
It's just one of the many perks we Brits get with Brexit. :alas:

Re: Wunderlich Passenger Armrests
Seeing that no one has replied to my post, I can honestly say that the Wunderlich passenger armrests are an asset for the passenger. Fitting was a breeze, although I needed to take a look at a couple of you tube videos but once the armrests are fitted the passenger really appreciates the upgrade. My...

Re: Fitted Zumo XT to my 2019 1250RT
You've got yourself a great satnav. I got mine in December 2020 for my 2019 RT and I am right pleased with it, though I don't have it permanently fixed on the bike. I got a GIVI satnav cover and have it connected to my bike via the can bus socket. Upside of that is that I always carry it with me whe...

Wunderlich Passenger Armrests
Hi all, I am thinking of fitting the Wunderlich passenger armrests to my 1250RT. I haven't seen any reviews anywhere so not sure if they r worth it or not. I plan to do a long tour this year and maybe my passenger would appreciate them, but like I said, as I haven't seen any reviews I am a bit reluc...

Re: Bike sometimes not starting
You got the battery right. I will look into this battery warranty. It seems as if the dealer is not aware of the 2yr warranty.

Re: Bike sometimes not starting
Hi David, the non OE battery I used was a Platinum make. Never had any problems with that make of batteries before, even used it on my S1000RR with no problems. Dealer told me the new OE battery had a 1year warranty not two. Hmmm, have to check that. Can anybody reading this post and who lives in th...

Re: Bike sometimes not starting
Hi David, Got the bike back from the dealers. Did a test run on the bike and rode it for about 30min. I stopped the bike at several points of the ride  to see if it would restart and it did. Took the bike back to the dealers and had to pay the 143euros that they charged me for install...
