Re: Gel, Air or Bean pad etc ... Numb bum cure wanted
Airhawk has worked for me - hasn't cured the KnumBumItis but has extended the "comfortable" riding time from 1 to 2 hours at a time, after which I stop and have a stretch/break/coffee/refuel etc anyway.

Re: RT touring screen
Can I make a suggestion? Before shelling out for a new screen wait until you get your bike and have had a chance to ride it for a while to see whether you want/need a larger screen. I'm 6'5" myself and I hardly ever raise the standard screen - I abhor the sense of riding in a what feels like a ...

There are old riders.
There are bold riders.
But there aren't any old, bold riders.
Don't push beyond what you are comfortable with.
Stay safe and keep the rubber side down.

Re: Quiet helmet recommendations?
Flip/system helmets always more noisy than a standard one. I think not. One area where noise is produces is between your chin and the front of the helmet. On a normal helmet this space is always large enough for you to pull it on. Makers try to reduce noise t...

Re: Crud Catcher
I would think a front Fender Extender would keep most of the crap off the front of the engine (does for me anyway), and the stuff that does get past is easier to clean off than if that Crud Catcher were attached.

In a word - ecstatic! But don't take my word for it - go to your local dealer and take one for a demo - a long demo if you can. If you're not ready to buy yet then leave your cheque book/credit cards at home! ;D

Born and live in the Brisbane area - sorry, can't give any advice regarding Perth. If you like riding twisties then the northside of Brisbane has a number of roads that are closest to the city - roads over Mt Mee, Mt Glorious, Mt Nebo, Clearwater Mountain to name a few - these start about 30Km out f...

+1 for Grip Puppies.
For NumbBumItis I use an AirHawk seat - not completely resolved but a hell of a lot better.
I use the Cruiser R Large model - webpage here: http://www.airhawk.net/airhawk-products.aspx
