Airhawk has worked for me - hasn't cured the KnumBumItis but has extended the "comfortable" riding time from 1 to 2 hours at a time, after which I stop and have a stretch/break/coffee/refuel etc anyway.

For route planning I want quick and easy - have a wander over to https://www.motogoloco.com/map/  and have a play.

I would think a front Fender Extender would keep most of the crap off the front of the engine (does for me anyway), and the stuff that does get past is easier to clean off than if that Crud Catcher were attached.
