Re: I dropped my bike...
Thanks guys. I dread to think of the screech I made as I tried to grab it as it fell away... thank god i didnt have the side panniers! Interesting... There's a school of thought that the panniers generally do a good job of protecting some of the more expensive parts of the bike. You recko...

Re: BMW Clothing Availability
Seem to remember he asked about BMW clothing. Would appear nobody on here has any, except me of course who has nothing else. Please , please nobody take offence over my observation or choice of first class gear. Not quite true... I'm forever extolling the virtues of BMW helmets ...

Re: BMW Clothing Availability
Agree (mainly!) with RTman10. Although, it's worth noting that there is plenty of other kit out there, some of which is undoubtedly better and much of which is definitely cheaper! Rukka for example provide a 5-year warranty, which appears to be honoured without question. ...

I agree, I think most of us on this forum are of a certain age :o & grew up pre PC. We worked in places where 'banter' was part & parcel of the job, rightly or wrongly. 25 years down t'pit for me & if you didn't quickly develop a thick skin you were soon out. So most of the stuff that g...

Re: BMW Comm System vs. Schuberth vs ??
Hey Folks, So I need to get a new helmet and comm system plus GPS. For the GPS I'm going to get the new NAV VI. For the helmet I'm thinking either Schuberth C3 Pro, C4 Pro or BMW Sys 7 Carbon. It depends on what fits my head best and feels good. Depending on ...

Re: Underseat lock
In your pocket or pannier or top box, like most normal people 8) I never had a top box on my RT - bloody ugly, ungainly things IMHO - and my pockets are always full of other rubbish! To be honest, I don't think I ever bothered with a disc lock on the RT. I'm not really convinced...

Re: Underseat lock
I have an Thatcham approved Abus disc lock with alarm (cost just under £100) that fits in the left hand fairing storage compartment, never tried it under the seat as I have my auto com under there but I would think it would go. I normally wouldn't buy a disc lock but the alarmed ones have a visual ...
