I have probably overloaded my top case before, which wouldn't have helped. I always ride with the case in situ, so I wouldn't really see the plate. My 2012 has developed a small 2 inch crack in the plastic rack, which is hidden with the Top Case in situ. Has anyone else had a similar problem?
