We would never ride if it was weather pending. RTs are made for wet weather :)  Only GS riders put bikes under trolly parks when it rains :)

They are one of the accessories that can be retro fitted so the wiring really needs to be there to make that possible. And besides that the cost saving from leaving those wires off would probably be less than the increased cost of having double the inventory items correct.. much cheaper than BMW!!

Hello all New to the forum and to BMW motorbikes, having just bought my 1250 RT very recently.  So please go easy on me... at least at first! :-) I have an Optimate 3 that I have used for several years, on other bikes, with no problems.  I don't really want to upgrade to an Optima...

I had problem wiring my auxiliary led lights directly.. being a campus system it played up.. as some of the lads I have rode with here can confirm.. best through Ezcam or relay.. hey ho.. lesson learned :)

you normally only hear a 'pop' when changing up or down using the pro shift, as it cuts the ignition on the gear change for a split second. Most cars with a DSG (Direct shift) gearbox do the same pops.  It's nothing to worry about and doesn't cause any damage to the bike. Some people (me i...
