Re: Fuel prices
What you have to remember is that the fuel on the forecourts was purchased before the crisis in Ukraine. Seems to me the oil companies are make more money while they can

Re: Tyres again sorry
I’ve got the Road Pilot 4 GT on my RT, not had an issue with them. I’ve found them to be good in the wet and I’m more than happy with them.

Re: Fitted Zumo XT to my 2019 1250RT
I’ve got the Zumo XT and it’s by far the best sat nav that I’ve had. The only problem I’ve found is that it doesn’t display all of the songs that I’ve loaded, though they are there when I connect it to the computer, I’m sure I’ll find out how to find them with a bit more playing with it.

Re: Looking for Info on 2013 R1200 RT
The current V5 only shows your details and the number of former keepers, don’t know when they changed from having the previous keepers details on it. I suspect data protection comes into it. That said when I purchased my RT there were previous invoices with the details of the previous keeper in the ...

Seized sump plug
I started to service my RT today only to find that the sump plug was stuck. Anyone any suggestions how to remove it without causing damage? Or should I take it to the dealer that serviced it last year and get them to remove it?

Re: Best MOT Prices
The tester was stood next to me whilst the brake test was performed, he was operating the equipment and recording the data just me operating the brakes. Different I must say and not what I expected when the brakes locked it kicked the bike out of the rollers. I can see why he wasn’t keen on doing it...

Re: Best MOT Prices
Until this year I used my local garage for MOT, he does all my car repairs. I was only ever charged £20 for the MOT. I went to go there this year and he retired after the unexpected death of his son. There was no one else at the garage that could test motorcycles so I made some enquiries and found o...

Re: Handlebar Combination Switches
My LHS was slightly loose and the left indicator would only work intermittently, hazards were fine. Took it to the dealer and the switch was worn and replaced under warranty, cost the dealer told me, was £350.

Re: 21 R1250RT insurance question
I’ve just renewed my insurance, the renewal quote with Bennett’s was £166, went online and got this down to £88 for the same cover and no voluntary excess, £350 compulsory excess, Bennett’s quote included £100 voluntary excess and £350 compulsory. I rang Bennett’s to see if they could match it and t...

Interesting article regarding councils legal duty in relation to potholes in the UK after the Court of Appeal made a judgement. https://www.tayloremmet.co.uk/blog/word ... -barnsley/
