Re: Bowing out

I have enjoyed B2B's posts and videos. It is sad but understandable, that he has decided to leave the forum.

Perhaps those responsible for his departure should consider their own position.

Re: RT LC Top lateral panel tabs

I would be interested to know which type of J B Weld you used.  There appear to be several varieties.

have a look at Werks 'quiet ride'  . I bought a 24 inch.  More than enough for me at 6.1 inch. Well worth the cost, but don't forget import tax.

Re: Navigator V on 2013 RT - wonder wheel compatibility?

I moved from a 660 to a Nav V. The Nav V is a lot better, screen is bigger, which is a bonus to me. I have never used the wheel and I have my phone paired to the Nav V, but with my BT I just make a noise and it answers the call automatically, so don't need to touch the screen on the Nav. If you go ...

Re: Navigator V on 2013 RT - wonder wheel compatibility?

The wheel is a red herring with all of them.  The V is big step ahead of the 660 with a better brighter and larger screen and improved guidance.  It's also quick.  I have not used the VI but opinions seem to be it has a better screen yet again but the other new features w...

Re: Navigator V on 2013 RT - wonder wheel compatibility?

Apologies if this move matters away from the  original 2013 question, but I would appreciate advice about a Nav V or maybe a Nav V1. I currently have an  HD Garmin 660 which was on my Road King before I bought the RT new in 2015. The 660 gets me from A to B without any frills and c...

Re: Navigator V on 2013 RT - wonder wheel compatibility?

Not sure if yours will but it does very little on any of thrm and none of it to  do with direct navigation.  All the wheel does on an LC is zoom, change the page , turn the screen off and I think repeat the last prompt.  Sounds OK but you have to go into the memory for ea...

Re: Screen cleaner

I'm sure it cleans but will it protect ? The point about using a pure wax is that it protects. Basically modern waxes once cured act as a barrier. They also add shine ( note they do not polish ) and bead water very effectively. I get many comments about how clean my bike is and I'm often asked how ...

Re: Slip-on exhaust for LC R1200 RT

I thought hard about it and decided that I wasn't willing to spend close to a grand on a sportier sound. I have instead ordered a Remus 'Black Hawk' (see link below). It was just over half the price of the Akrapovic (certainly at dealer prices) and while it probably doesn't have quite the same 'str...

Re: Slip-on exhaust for LC R1200 RT

Have just had an Akrapovic fitted to my 2015 RT.  It feels 'sportier' although I think (I know) that is my imagination. Not a lot of sound difference at low revs but from 3500+ revs it sounds wonderful without being too noisy. I have kept the baffles intact. I can't believe I spent that amo...

Re: Exhaust Pipe Flap Valve Thingy

Does it follow that once the valve starts squeaking it will inevitably become stuck?  Mine has been squeaking for some time. I reported it to the dealer who  greased it, but the squeak is starting to return. As I am coming to the end of the two year warranty, should I be more insis...
