Speedo Failure
Since you recently had the wizzy servo system removed, consider this...if you find the front sensor has not become dislodged or unplugged: IF your bike was produced prior to Aug 2006 the front AND rear wheel speed sensors are BMW p/n 34 51 7 666 436. (New price for the sensor is about $300 USD - but...

Indicator Issue
The left turn signal circuit is shown below (switch S9073): https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200112/6a9d866830ca264ffc68aa9c80fe365d.jpg Should be fairly easy to troubleshoot...it goes thru one intermediate connector (X9070) then on to pin 12 of the ZFE (central vehicle electronics module). Re: Question :- can anyone please tell me how to switch off my headlights ?
Rangemaster, if you look under a poster's name and country, it usually shows the model/year. Also, do you depress and hold the switches you mentioned in sequence, or simultaneously? Tho' I find it maddeningly difficult to change bulbs on my RT, I wouldn't advise you to...

Question :- can anyone please tell me how to switch off my headlights ?
I've heard somewhere that its possible to turn off my headlights during the day by using a sequence involving the indicator switch. Can anyone please tell me how this is done ? Welcome to the forum... You didn’t specify what year R1200RT. This is what I recall...works on some GS models and RTs depe...

Re: Help Identifying Power Sockets
So...that connector behind the seat is just a Canbus data connector so if you ever want to retrofit an OEM alarm that’s where it plugs in... The alarm unit (BMW calls the module a DWA) is powered by a battery inside the module. In addition if you ever install a Hex eZCan accessory controller for aux...

Help Identifying Power Sockets
https://www.1200rt.com/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=4973.0;attach=6658;image This looks like a 2 pin connector. The Haynes manual wiring diagram says, "Note - where anti-theft/tyre pressure control unit is not fitted, the CAN bus is terminated with a terminating resistor." Can the sock...

Re: Good price on 3 amp battery tender
Should not be a problem....3A is the max available output; actual amperage is determined by the microprocessor in the charger.
I’ve used a variety of Deltran Battery Tenders on our RTs, K1600s and Harley and never had a problem.

Lockable Storage Cubby !
Oooh...you mean something like a Smuggler Trunk for a wethead?
I could see getting one & modding it to add the heated backrest.

‘05 1200RT no ABS
Integral ABS II (‘non-whizzy’ brakes) for the Hexheads started with the 2007 model year, so anything from 2007 to 2009 will be fine. Module Masters of Idaho can rebuild an I-ABS II unit from one of those for about $250...unless it’s the internal pressure sensors - but they should have core units for...

Re: First Time BMW Owner
Just a thought regarding the display. I had a friend with a hexhead that complained he couldn’t see the screen when he went out and rode... I looked at his bike and it appeared just fine. Then I noticed he was wearing sunglasses so I said “loan me your sunglasses for a second”... Don’t know where h...

Re: First Time BMW Owner
Hello, I recently sold my 835 pound 2018 Honda Gold Wing Touring in favor of the nimble 505 pound R1200RT, and I am new to the forum. If you live near the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex, drop me a line some day. After the first week of owing the R1200RT, here's my initial wish list I will gradually st...

Re: Gs911 functions
I may not be remembering this correctly but try:
R Series -> R1200RT -> Functions -> Idle actuator calibration. Follow the on-screen instructions.
