Removing adhesive residue from windscreen
I bought a 1200RT that the previous owner appeared to have attached and EZPass transponder to the windscreen. There is adhesive residue on the inside of the windscreen that I would like to remove without damaging the plastic. I know WD40 is good for removing residue from bumper s...

Re: Getting a round in
Personally I think if you wanted a comfortable versatile bike for touring, the RT really can't be beat. It's a little heavy when parking (like all big bikes are), and the BMW servicing/maintenance cost can be pricey (although good independent garages are around), but once you have got that electric...

Re: R1200rt "speakers off" how to turn on?
I understand that the volume control on the wheel works only with BMW BT headsets. I presume you are using another brand...... Yep. After paying so much money for the bike, I could not justify buying an expensive new helmet to replace one that I had recently purchased. I guess i...

Re: R1200rt "speakers off" how to turn on?
I've got the same bike, as delivered the speakers worked, radio and USB music played on the speakers. Then I set up the Bluetooth intercom on my helmet to connect with the bike and Nav V. Now I have no music or anything out of the speakers. It seems that once you've paired a Bluetooth headset or si...

Re: Screen cleaner
Been a pilot and aircraft owner since 1987. After a flight I always use warm soapy water, soft cloth, rinse and dry. Then Plexus for the polish. It's made by BTI and I've always gotten mine from Aircraft Spruce. Thought I'd try it on my 2015 R1200RT and partner's 2014 ...

Re: Weather Protection R1200RT LC
In response, my hope is that this protection, which was designed for the Police versions, should cut off another path for road grim hitting the panniers and keep my toes a little warmer ;) My previous bike had extreme tupperwear (K1200LT) I don't want to repeat that but, I didn't like the...

Re: 2014 RT LC Service cost?.
My 12000 mile service was $910. The only fluid changed was the oil. About $275 of the service was for the valve check - $125 for labor and $150 for the two gaskets. Rear brake pads and new Dunlop Roadsmart IIIs were in addition, bringing the total to $1410. Non riders ...

Re: no tire pressure reading
Just changed my rear tire one 2014 1200rt and I went to check the tire pressure on the display and its not showing either the front or the rear psi. I was careful not to smash or pry on the sensor. I did change the screw in valve on the mag spoke ( the inside valve was not screw...

Re: Contents of 2013 OEM toolkit
My used 2013 RT did not come with the toolkit. I just want to know what was in this so I can get my own set together. I've looked everywhere but can't seem to find a list of the contents. Not sure why, but this seems very difficult. Thanks! Here is what is in...

Yep, and that sounds like a very "BMW" price! [emoji12]gogs01 wrote:

Re: New 2018 RT what would you like to see ??
A lower first gear would also be good - I spend a lot of my time in traffic at low speeds and I don't have much hope for the longevity of my clutch as a result. You have a wet clutch, which withstands that kind of abuse very well. The experience on our police bikes is so much better with ...
